Accounts Officer

A well-established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join their growing team. This role is suited to someone with a strong accounts background who enjoys working in a structured environment, managing financial processes, and supporting the smooth running of the business.

While the role includes exposure to trust accounting, the primary focus is on general accounts, billing, and financial administration. Training and support will be provided for the trust component, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day accounts and finance administration

• Processing invoices, payments, receipts, and transfers

• Handling billing and transaction records accurately and efficiently

• Performing account and trust reconciliations

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records

• Supporting monthly and end-of-period reporting

• Assisting with trust account administration in line with established procedures

• Using internal systems and software (LEAP experience highly regarded)

• Responding to internal accounts-related queries

• General accounts and administrative support as required

About You

• Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Accounts Administrator, or similar role

• Exposure to trust accounting is advantageous, but not essential

• Comfortable working with accounting or billing systems

• Strong attention to detail and confidence with numbers

• Well organised, reliable, and able to manage routine deadlines

• Experience in professional services, legal, or finance environments is beneficial but not required

• A proactive and team-oriented approach
